When the kit arrives at your doorstep, it comes equipped with five baby caterpillars and all the necessary supplies to nurture them through their incredible metamorphosis. The entire process takes approximately 3 weeks, during which time you can watch the caterpillars transform from their initial form into chrysalides and then emerge as beautiful butterflies.
The kit includes a pop-up, reusable 12-inch tall mesh habitat, providing a safe and natural environment for the caterpillars to thrive. Additionally, it comes with a deluxe chrysalis station log, which allows you to observe the caterpillars as they form their chrysalides and eventually emerge as fully-fledged butterflies.
To further enhance the experience, the kit also includes a flower-shaped butterfly feeder, encouraging the butterflies to pollinate your world once they are released.
It's important to note that the Insect Lore Butterfly Garden Kit cannot be shipped to certain locations, including Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, or Puerto Rico, due to temperature restrictions. If the daytime temperatures in your area are below 55 degrees Fahrenheit or above 85 degrees Fahrenheit, it's recommended to postpone your live order to ensure the caterpillars' safe arrival and survival.
